My doc said I'm resistant to all types of antibiotics, even though the other docs (probably didn't know) but I've been on 4 different types in the last two years. That stinks! He said I'm probably dealing with a ecoli issue or infection of some sort since I told him every night, I literaly have night sweats where I have to blow dry my hair and change my clothes. He said its not really normal to sweat every night like that. I've been on Grapefruit Seed Extract, caprilic acid, allicin (which is a liquid part of garlic) so he drew more blood today to see where we stand with my potassium levels (I complained of cramping in feet, calves and once in my hand, besides every morning I'm doubled over in pain pooping for 2 hours) checking iron levels and send me home to do a poop test. I will post on that when I get results. I stopped the SAM shot I was paying $300 for every 3 weeks, not covered by insurance, b/c he feels there's more going and we need to treat that for the SAM to work effectively.
I feeling better, probably because I'm doing the IV treatments of vitamins and minerals, which is good this help my immune system fight. I have more energy throughout the day. It's so frustrating, how can anyone be antibiotics resistant, that sucks. Growing up I only took antibiotics maybe 3 times if that, until I got UC then I've been a load of them.
Tomorrow I turn 40!
Very mild left sided (could have fooled me with the "mild") UC. Started and stopped LDN ON 1/25/09 to mid May no improvements. Supplements: Probiotics, multi, iron, caprlic acid, trying a new peptid replacement therapy, started Lialda on 8/31/09. Getting IV of vitamins and minerals for 12 weeks. I take lomotil as needed.
