Hmmm, I wonder if you might have a little hemorrhoid going on, could explain the itching and burning and overly hard stools can cause them..if you don't see one externally then it may be internally (they don't bleed 100% of the time either).
Might be worth getting checked out...I would definitely try the prunes/prune juice daily and see how things go.
Feel better soon :)
While moving into remission from my recent flare, I went from normal poo to pooping pebbles in about
a week. That played havoc with my hemorrhoids, and I had the worst hemorrhoid attack that I've ever had.
That rapidly developed into a nasty little case of proctitis and the swelling from that just exasperated the constipation. Those pebbles had to be a lot smaller to fit through the smaller hole.
It got so bad that the swelling was pressing on my prostrate gland, and I couldn't pee either. I had to catheterize myself a couple of times just to empty my bladder, no fun prospect I'm here to say!
And my GI was on vacation!
mumblemumble! Murphy sucks! mumble!
Lots or [ugh]Prune Juice[/ugh] did the trick for me! about
a pint of it in the morning, and a little six oz can for lunch. I HATE
the stuff, but I drink it. I'm back to normal poo, but it's still kind of skinny. I guess the swelling is not completely gone but it's much better.
I'll keep drinking the [ugh]Prune Juice[/ugh], and take Metamucil capsules as the label directs, and maybe I won't have to go through that again.
