Since the crash, we lost our resource section that is usually found at the top of the forum.  If anyone knows of a good and educational website that I can add once the admin creates the resource section again, please let me know!

There's the needymeds site. It also has a link to find free/reduced cost clinics.

http://www.ccfa.org/ccfaprof/ibd-journal/Dec%202008%20-%20Management%20of%20the%20Pregnancy%20IBD%20Patient.pdf
And there's the link to the IBD and pregnancy article. This one won't work as a clicky...it has to be C&P'ed into the browser window.

The NIH site:

http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/colitis/

this site has a chart comparing symptoms and factors in UC, Crohns and other types of colitis:

http://hopkins-gi.nts.jhu.edu/pages/latin/templates/index.cfm?pg=disease3&organ=6&disease=20&lang_id=1

from Mayo, information about diet:

Judy

Co-moderator, Ulcerative Colitis

Diagnosed in 2001, finally in remission since March 2006.

Mesalamine is not my friend and steroids are from the devil. Remicade has been my miracle drug.

From Meesh--thanks, Meesh!
(the words below are her words, just to give credit where credit is due)

If you are having trouble getting something approved by your insurance company that you or doctor believe you would benefit from go to this link: http://www.patientadvocate.org/

They are a nonprofit organization that will help you deal with your insurance company, help you file appeals if necessary, and generally have your back.
