And honestly, what equals "remission" is quite different for all of us. I just wanted the urgency to be gone....number of BMs wasn't too important, so long as I didn't have to make a mad dash to the bathroom (and so long as I didn't wake up at night because I needed to have a BM). Consistency wasn't important, either...I personally don't feel it's necessary to have super-formed poop. I never really have...maybe it's because I drink a lot of water and eat a lot of fiber???? I am really happy to only have 1-2 bm's a day and am aslo glad that they're almost always relatively formed. To me, it means that the inflammation is calmer than what I might have lived with otherwise.
There's also clinical remission (based on symptoms) and endocsopic remission (based on a c-scope). It would be nice to have endoscopic verification of my symptoms, if there were an easy, no-prep-required way to do so, but I'm happy with clinical remission!
