The singulair is for asthma. I also have allergies and it does nothing for them. It isn't controlling my asthma all that well either. I need to go see my PCP. I think I need different meds. I am afraid I am allergic to my long haired dogs. I have two and they are very hairy. The town where I have lived for 3 years also has bad air quality-:) Both parents had asthma and I developed bad allergies in childhood.
Yes, I mean trigger an attack. I have been on colazal since the middle of January of this year.
I noticed the wheezing right after a cold about
8 weeks ago. It went straight to my chest. May actually have been H1N1. I also take advair inhaler. I actually think I am better off with claritin than the singulair.
Yes, I've had the dye before and got huge hives. Luckily, I got some meds quickly and was fine. I had one other CT scan last year and they just did it without the iv dye, just the drink. Apparently, they can do that! I am sure the dye gives a better picture.
They have me taking pre meds, 50 mg of prednisone 12 hours before and another 50 mg 2 hours before. They also have me taking antihistamines on top of that, one is benadryl and I can't remember the other one. I wish they would do it without the dye but they said it was a more sensitive ct scan than the usual one. I hope not b/c they give you more dye!!! I am a little anxious about
this with the asthma situation right now. Sigh....The rescue inhaler is a good suggestion. I've never had a bad asthma attack. They must be very scary.
Thanks for the reply.
