Ugh, sorry it seems to be another flare. I hope that you can get the cort enemas.
As for the contacts, is my understanding that this is the first time you've tried them correct? If so, some people just can't wear them...one of my friends can't because he has really dry eyes naturally. I'm sure your mom's smoking doesn't help...I'm a contact wearer, and cigarette smoke always bothers my eyes a lot. I'm allergic to it, too, though.

Status: Remission since May 2009!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son
Diagnosed with pancolitis on 1/30/09
Meds: Apriso (4 0.375g pills ONCE!! daily), mesalamine enema twice weekly, Natural Factors Ultimate probiotic 12/12 Formula, multivitamin. Used prednisone (starting dose 40 mg) to get into remission.
