Well, After my capsule biopsy yesterday, today I had a dentist appointment because I have been having a toothache in my lower left wisdom tooth... They came in YEARS ago and no problems with impaction or anything but over the last few years, I have had 2 pulled because they are so far back in the mouth they are hard to keep clean... lol.. Anyhow, I wanted my dentist today to pull it out because he saw a cavity and said it needs to come out.. He said he needs to send me to an oral surgeon next Tuesday to have it pulled out.... EEK!!!
My concern is this.. I'm starting Entocort tomorrow and wonder if that will have any effect on the healing process of getting this tooth yanked out? It is a steroid, but I don't know if it's systemic enough to cause problems with healing like Prednisone would... My regular dentist today said he would have pulled it out himself, but he's concerned because I was on such a high dose of steroids for sooooo long and I haven't been off them that long yet... I totally understand his position and feel comfort that he wants someone who specializes in tooth pulling to do the job..
BOY.. what a week! :)
