I just started the enemas two week ago for the frist time. I could probably have avoid prednisone and humira both if I could have been pushed to put meds up my butt. It really is NOT that hard and now I am really feeling the difference
also you are NOT on a high dose of asacol..you are actually on a maintance dose. You could probably take a few more of those a day to help get you to remission..

I second that these docs get kickback..mine is always pushing the latest and greatest...

Salofalk 4g Enemas nightly, started March 9/2010
Fish oil, VSL, Vit D, Vit C, Vit B12 3x weekly , reduced red meat, refined grains and dairy
Current Status: 1-2 BM a day, no blood, urgency issues getting better...I think these enemas just might be WORKING...no jinx..fingers crossed...
