I asked my GI and Urologist about
this recently as I was diagnosed with prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate) about
this topic. My GI said that if there was some rectal inflammation, it could cause some pressure against the prostate. She suggested the next time this happens, to use prescript
ion hemorrhoid suppositories to see if the pain goes away. When I asked my urologist about
this, he said it was unlikely, but certainly not out of the question.
P.S. Prostate inflammation or pressure against the prostate can cause testicular pain and even more frequent urination.
