Where are the specific instructions, do you have them and can you post them?
My mom is very hesitant and she the healthiest person I know. Like I said yesterday, I called the Duluth Clinic of Digestive Health and they are currently only doing recurrent c-diff patients and the lady wrote back " hope you find relief using your UC medication" *** that doesn't help and that wasn't encouraging!
I have been on major amounts of antibiotics up until a month and half ago for Lyme's disease. I have CP bacteria which is a bacteria from phenoma that still lingering. I can't do anymore of the antibiotics they were giving me panic attacks. I haven't been back to my lyme doctor. Now my GI says she hears this Lyme doctor tells everyone they have lymes, if they have illness they can't cure. That was NOT comforting in the least. ALthough I'm doing better now on my UC meds then I ever have.
Keep us informed. I would ask my donor to go into a clinic and say they have stomach problems and see if they can test their stool for bacteria or yeast problems, I think that's one way of getting checked. I've done it myself.
UC since '05, now on 9-12 asacol a day, rowasa enemas at night. I've tried for almost 4 years without meds, my colon got worse. I believe in meds now, I need them.
