I worry about
the same thing as I'm the one who carries the health insurance. I'm excluded from LT disability insurance too. The only thing saving me is I'm a public employee. If you can get a job in the public sector then you're covered under the Section 504 of the Rehibilitation Act of 1973 and can't be denied services due to disabilities.

If your worried about auto accidents you can get medical coverage through your car insurance agent. I have State Farm and was just in an accident. I'm covered up to $20,000 no matter if it was my fault or not. It doesn't make your rate go up either...so I am told.
Check out www.ccfa.org site. They had some posting regarding insurance too. I have a friend who is a cancer survivor and he's been dealing with this insurance stuff for 20 years. I can ask him too. Let me know what State your living in too. There maybe some State laws to help protect you as well.
