Well, Old Hat already covered my Apriso use for you (a :) to Old Hat for that). I've been on it since summer of 2009...can't remember exactly when I switched.
I really like it, because of the once-daily dosing. It's so much more convenient. It is working really well for me, but honestly, I think Asacol would work just as well, assuming I was taking it like I should, and not forgetting doses (I wanted to switch b/c if I did something out of routine, like eating out for dinner), I'd have a LOT of trouble remembering it, and forgot on a couple of occasions.
But yeah, it's all four pills, once a day. It doesn't matter when during the day, but needs to be about
the same time.
Status: Remission since May 2009!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son
Diagnosed with pancolitis on 1/30/09
Meds: Apriso (4 0.375g pills ONCE!! daily), mesalamine enema twice weekly, Natural Factors Ultimate probiotic 12/12 Formula, multivitamin. Used prednisone (starting dose 40 mg) to get into remission.
