Just checking in this evening.

Skinny, ploppy, funky smelling stool, gas, mucous. No blood. Only once a day in evening. Doesn't seem to be getting worse.

I hope the Asacol, supps and enemas kick in. Patience is not my strong suit.

This time last year I was calling my GI all the time, even on Thanksgiving with problems. I haven't called my GI at all because of this message board.

It doesn't sound like you're doing poorly. I would keep doing what you're doing and see how things progress. We all have ups and downs, you're not going to be exactly the same every single day. I had a bad day yesterday but today things seem a bit better... wish things were more consistent.
March 2007: Diagnosed with Mild Proctitis - Canasa as needed.
August 2008 - December 2008: FLARE & Anemic - Started Asacol!!

December 2009 - January 2010: FLARE!! Asacol + Prednisone + Canasa

May 2010 - June 2010: Lialda + Cort Enema + Prednisone : Colonoscopy: Mild / Moderate Active Pancolitis

Yes, I'm feeling OK, just not from the vantage point of the toilet.

only once a day...good.
Funky smelling...could be flare, could be food if you ate garlic or fish?
Did you stop the probiotics?

q
*Heather* I give suggestions, do with them what you will.

No. I'm doing everything you tell me. No questions asked. I even went higher on the Asacol. I am getting dehydrated. More BMs today

I'm also switching some things out on the diet. I think that's going to be very important.

Question: How many enemas a day can or should I do? Is it worth it, expense for one, as my dysfunctional GI would say.

My Mom said go up on prednisone. I would really rather kill myself, no joke.

Forgot to say the quote from the GI.

"You will always have symptoms."

I'm definitely flaring. Rectum is very sore. Can I go two enemas a day?

I've thought about doing rowasa morning and night. Can you walk around with the enema in all day? I worry it might come out. It doesn't come out during the night so I guess, why would it during the day?

As long as it's in a decent amount of time, I'm sure it does some good.

Some use it twice a day, but I don't know if that might be too much or not for you. I've never used it twice, however.

You're still on the probiotics? Which ones? and how much?

Your mom's suggestion regarding pred...well, tell her it clearly hasn't worked yet.

Yes, you may always have some symptoms, but you should be able to get them controlled fairly well.

Maybe just use the twice a day enemas for a short period and then use them every second DAY, etc with using them nightly.

How many asacol? 8?

Are you using any fish oil? what other supplements?

Hi Quincy and NSSG, I've been in bed today from fatigue so it's nice to hear from you. Yes, I'm using Align and I'm finishing up the box.

I'm on 9 Asacol and if things get worse I'll jump to 12.

I put my trust in you that I'm going to pull through without having to take a different course.

Fish oil, Bs, E, multi, I got tested and my D levels are OK., psyllium husk
