So I'm being sent to a doctor to see if I have the MRSA infection after having stomach surgery...

has anyone else ever contracted this?

I'm so stressed out I can't even stand it, it seems everything keeps happening to me and I just need some insight.

I've never had it, but just want to say hang tough and do all the research you can to have the information needed to understand and what options of meds that will be available for you to use.

I hope this is a short haul rather than a long one for you.

Sending healing vibes your way.

I've never had this either, but I just wanted to say that I sincerely hope you don't have it but in the event you do I really wish that you get it under control quickly. Hang in there and try not to let it stress you (easier said then done I know). Oh and I definitely know what it feels like having everything happening to you! lol Oh boy do I!

I just took my last Bactrim this AM for a staph infection in my finger that turned out to be MRSA. I had a hangnail that I picked at, & boom! Terrible infection in a matter of 2 days. I know my experience is quite limited, body-wise, but it was bad. Although if caught early on, they'll just give you some serious antibiotics & that should clear it up. I had to try 2 different ones before the Bactrim finally got rid of it. Good luck!

Remicade-10mgs/kg- from 4/07 thru 1/10

I had it and there is no need to panic.
There are new, albeit very expensive, antibiotics to treat it. The problem is the antibiotic might cause a flare. So be sure to take a probiotic along with it (with good bacteria).

I probably had it for years, because now I notice my acne flares up less and heals faster.

49 year old female attorney, diagnosed UC/pancolitis 1985.
Asacol for 20+ years with Prednisone & Rowasa for flares (But nothing since Remicade).
Food sensitivity test by Naturopath showed wheat/gluten, other intolerances, helped some.
Remicade started April 2009 (Humira denied) and doing great~ learning what normal is~ wow

Well thanks for all the feedback everyone and yes I'm pretty sure I have it but I won't know until Wednesday.

Yeah I completely understand what everyone's going through and I'm glad that I can relate with you guys about it, sometimes its just hard being sick all the time.
I'll keep everyone updated!
Thanks
