I just purchased 2 different vitamins: Nature Made vitamin D 400iu/made with D3 and Nature Made Folic Acid 600mcg w/DHA, Vitamin B-12 50mcg, also has Fish Oil 137mg and Omega-3 DHA 50mg
I'm thinking to take these 2 vitamins because they seem like pretty common deficiences for UC/Corhns sufferers; I also saw a dietitian and she said Vitamin D deficiency is pretty common for IBD sufferers. I took a vitamin D yesterday evening with dinner. I was going to contiue this for a week and see how I react. I was then going to add the folic acid pill in the morning with my breakfast, Lialda, and Prednisone. Do you think this is good or do you think I should just take both vitamins at the same time a little later in the day after I take my UC meds?
I also was reading up and I may just be interested in a daily multi-vitamin, instead of just taking the two I had purchased. I had tried a multi-vitamin before and it seemed to give me a headache and a mild acne type reaction so I stopped. I forget the brand but it was just a standard multi-vitamin like Centrum (don't think it was Centrum though). The multi-vitamin I'm thinking of taking now is GNC Mega-Man multivitamin. Reason is, I used to take this daily for a few years when I was an active weight lifter/workout guy and never noticed any problems/ill effects other than bright urine. The only thing that I'm a little concerned about with the GNC Mega Man Multi is the Vitamin C since I am in a decent flare now and wasn't when I used to take it.
What do you think - take the 2 separate vitamins or go with the GNC Mega Man Multi vitamin? I guess just looking for any advice or experiences you may have had with vitamins.

Lialda 4 pills daily at once (morning)**
