I use the hycort enemas myself and have great success with them, I use to use the salofalk ones but didn't find them as effective in controlling symptoms. So if you are worried about the steroid I agree with alternating them or maybe your body doesn't handle the Rowasa well-some people can't tolerate certain enemas they actually do feel worse. IF you do have hemmeroids the steroid enemas will help to shrink them if you slowly take the enema out while squeezing the medicine right until it coats the rectum.
if you have hemmeroids are you taking any metamucil fibre. It helps bulk the stool, makes it easier to pass and the fibre is beneficial in preventing hemmeroids. Soaking your butt in epsoms salts as often as possible is also great for hemmeroids. Watch your diet and exercise to try to prevent them.
