I've been taking Pentasa for more than a year, this might not make sense to many and even to me, it doesn't make sense but here I go,
4 days ago I started experiencing pain/bloating, diarrhea and mucous and the beads started showing up(this is normal for many but for me started 4 days ago) in my stool.
I was worried because the stool had mucous mixed with some blood. I started going 3-4 times a day to release some funny looking small stool with Pentasa beads and I decided to stop it cold turkey 2 days ago,
TODAY: I had a decently formed stool again and went only once with no mucous/blood and so much less bloating.
How can this happen so abruptly?
This happened with Asacol for me too. One day my body just said, I can't take Pentasa anymore.
Anyone else experience this?
I'm on mercury/cadmium chelation therapy with my osteopath. Maybe it's the cause but I'm better off without Pentasa?
