Sorry to hear of your situation. Go to jpouch.org and go in the women's health and pregnancy forum. You will get a lot of answers there and you can ask questions about
pregnancy. A lot of people have to have surgery because of FAP....it's not just for UC. Having the bag isn't really that bad and it's only temporary if you are getting a j pouch. I only had the bag for 3 months. I love my j pouch! Also, all our nutrients are absorbed thru the small intestines not the colon. Our colon has an important role but we do not need it to live and function.
