I am not completely sure each supplement I am taking isn't causing issues, but as I have taken all of them, with the exclusion of slippery elm powder tea and tumeric, for a couple years, I have to think they are okay. Last year I flared on and off all year though several courses of antibiotics were part of that. I lost faith in many of my supplements then as I took them all religiously and still get kept getting sick. So what you are saying does make me think about all my supplements..
In regards to calcium, I take the Carlson brand liquid cal-mag pills and I have never had a problem with it--the brand and specific calcium dose was chosen for me by a nutritionist I have seen, so its not like I went to a pharmacy and grabbed a random calcium supplement. I have found it at Whole Foods as well as online.
Now I am so confused about the food thing...When I got a food intolerance test a few years ago, I did see a difference when I avoided all those foods, but again, having had a bad year in 2011, my faith in all that was shaken. Just found out my CRP test was elevated, which confirms that inflammation is roaming around my body. I am going to push through this and stick to gluten free for awhile and see how I feel.
