"Just a side note. Someone mentioned you cannot eat whatever you want after surgery. That's not true...you can after your adjustment period. I eat everything and I know many, many j pouchers who can eat whatever they want as well. I have two family members with j pouches..no diet restrictions for them either. Just wanted to clear that misconception."
I made the comment about
limited food tolerance after colon removal based on posts I read in the Ostomies forum where people seem to have a lot of post-surgery food issues. It's good that you are one of the lucky ones who can eat anything.
Diagnosed UC 2002, Colazal generic (balsalazide), Mesalamine and/or Colocort enemas as needed.
