So, the last 3 months have been fairly decent so far. I'm doing 150mg of Azathioprine daily (I weigh 145), with about 1/3 a VSL #3 DS satchet daily with 5g of psyllium seed powder, usually mixed into yogurt (it's a surprisingly tasty breakfast).
I'm now able to do beer, coffee, and most everything else with no problems. I've been on Azithromycin for the past few days to combat a rather rough go with flu, so I'm upping my supplements by double, and that seems to settle a little discomfort I had after the first day of the Z-pack. So, aside from my alma mater not making the Big Dance (again), everything seems to be going as well as it possibly could be. I would highly recommend the seed powder to anyone who has trouble with mesalamines and doesn't want to opt for remicade. Much cheaper alternative, too. Cheers!
