Remission is defined as a lessening of symptoms (partial or total) and may be "in the eye of the beholder".
I have experienced a gradual reduction in symptoms over the past 10 years since I was diagnosed but have not reached the point where I can totally eliminate meds or eat whatever I want.
No matter how good I feel, I'm careful to avoid certain foods and take my daily regimen of meds, vitamins and supplements.
I believe my body is trying to heal itself but needs a lot of help from me.
I still need to know where the bathrooms are but...believe me...it's a long way forward from when I was afraid to leave the house for more than an hour at a time. For that I am VERY grateful.
Kinda looks like remission to me.
