Three days after my colonoscopy, I am still having lower abodominal pain.. It is not severe and doctor said it should be air. It is possible because I didn't pass lots of gas. Any way to get rid of them quicker? more walking or less walking? More fiber or less fiber? Gassy foods or less gassy foods? Thanks.

they claim it was gas but i think i was sore from the whole thing no gas or air they pumped in but yah... they said walking helps get rid of the gas but didn't for me...

I use walking and peppermint tea. Yes peppermint tea...I know it sounds odd but I heard the advice from someone on here after I had trapped air after an out patient surgery (not Uc related) and it got rid of it super quick. So now I use it with the c-scope air bubbles too, works pretty good.

With my scopes they always take biopsies, also. So the
open biopsy site can also cause some pain. I can see where peppermint tea would also soothe that problem.

I had a colonoscopy recently and it took ten days for my digestive system to feel the way it felt prior to the colonoscopy. All of those biopsy sites take a while to heal and my colon and rectum were noted as 'Normal' with no active UC.
