Something like that happened to me once and i had to go to a neurologist to get cleared to drive. You really shouldn't be driving a vehicle if you can lose consciousness.

Mine is not a neurologic issue. And it only happens when I stand too long. Sitting doesn't do this to me so I'm perfectly fine to drive.

I have UC and I have a disabled parking sticker.

I don't use it when I'm in my healthier periods, but when I'm flaring and really weak it comes in real handy.

I have a handicap sticker but I don't think I would need it for my UC alone but at 78 years young I have bad arthritis in my knees so walking any distance is a problem for me.

In my state, the guidelines for a handicap permit specifically list UC as a condition for which you can get one. So all I needed was a 1 page form filled out and mailed in where my doctor signed the bottom and confirmed that I have UC. And then a couple weeks later the handicap permit came in the mail.

I only use it when I desperately need to run in somewhere to use the bathroom, or if experiencing debilitating fatigue.
