How much do I take a day? Has it ever caused anyone to flare? Anyone have any brand recommendations?

I have been using 2 tablespoons of fresh flaxseed which I grind up and then put in my yogurt every morning. I have been doing this since 2008 and it does not seem to have an effect on my UC other than my stools are firmer. I get my flaxseed from a local health food store which is in the bulk bin in the refrigerated section.
