I have heard that certain strains can cause D, but I personally have never had this reaction before. Full on D is very rare for me, even during a flare (thank god), and I know it was nothing I ate because I have cleaned up my diet; everything I ate yesterday was tummy-friendly.
In the last day or two I have started a probiotic pill that has eight different strains and have been eating an Activia yogurt... both of which I've done before and had no reaction. The only change this time around is the addition of Wellnesse 3-in-1 Digestive Health. It contains soluble fiber (known to ease C and slow D), aloe vera (very gentle and soothing on the gut), and prebiotics (food for the probiotics to grow and multiply).
The only thing I can think of is that the prebiotics in the Wellnesse has caused the probiotics I'm taking to multiply to a point that my gut can't tolerate. Any thoughts? Experiences? Ideas? Should I just continue as is and wait for my body to get accustomed? Reduce the Wellnesse? Cut it out altogether?
I'm thinking maybe I'll go a day without it and then if everything clears up, try again at half the amount I took before.
