Time to revisit this subject,the ALA thread has re-peaked my interest.
I will add papers as I find them,they will probably be in random order.
I really have a problem with fortified foods,iron ad B6 fortification specifically.
Some of this old stuff I posted in the past. But you get the idea it all ties in with the RIT.
Also of interest is that some with IBD are depresed,depression seems to down regulate GPx and or up regulate
oxidation. This might also tie in with endorphans and the Sun, and also LDN.
This is a interesting theory,and it does seem possible that if we loose our hydrogen peroxide neutralization capacity,damage occures and the bacteria are then able to get to the mucosa,then the immune cascade starts,and we go from there.
I can testify to some of this myself,if I take iron pills ferrous sulfate I seem to get worse,if I take SOD which releases
hydrogen peroxide as a by product I seem to get worse.

I guess you can start here. We could possibly have the same problem but in us it turns into UC.
If our glutathione is depleted we have difficulty with hydrogen peroxide. Dont know if any of this is
true but seems to fit in. The last time I had homocysteine checked it was high end of normal,but that was years ago.
