Unfortunately when my small bowels were affected (when I first became sick) it was in my small intestines, colon, rectum and anus *perianal crohn's skin tags* my crohn's actually started externally with the tags when I was in my teens (had absolutely NO other IBD symptoms therefore it was sluffed off by all docs that saw my anus as being hemorrhoids) but when I became sick internally it was affecting all of the above mentioned at the same time...cleared up in my small intestine after 2 yrs (and has yet to return there) constant in my colon the entire 21 yrs as well as the anus and on and off in the rectum.
I personally have never had the pill cam but I have not heard or read anything negative about
them....small bowel follow through and barium xrays and colonoscopies as well as one sigmoidoscopy are all the tests I've had (plus the usual blood/stool tests).
Do you happen to know what your pattern of inflammation was when they DX you with having CD and what tests they used for that DX?
Crohn's will have patchy inflammation---inflammation with healthy tissues skipping through inflammation and it also tends to go deeper in the mucosal lining....UC is all inflammation with no skipped pattern and is on the surface only, won't go through the layers like it often does with CD.
bee propolis caps 500mg one cap twice/day
omegas 369 caps one cap twice/day
probiotics 10 billion cfu once/day
vitamins C-calcium ascorbate (easy on the gut) and vitamin A each once/day
Prodiem fibre supplement one cap before bed
I've also altered my diet (no junky stuff at all, processed, fast-foods, refined sugars, ect) and exercise regularly.
I went from 30+ bloody BM's/day with lots of lower back pain to an average of 5/day no bleeding no back pain and completely formed stools, still have severe urgency issues.
~~~~~~~~My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)~~~~~~~~
