Unlike the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) or GAPS (Gut and Phycology Syndrome) diet, the Paleo "diet" is not so much a "diet" as a lifestyle. There's no intro phase, it's more about
making conscious decisions about
eating the way your primal ancestors may have eaten. Cavemen didn't grow fields of grains, nor beans. They hunted and gathered, so they ate meat, plants, tubers, fruits. I suppose they could have gathered honey from the bees, so honey is part of the paleo meal plan.
I am transitioning into paleo myself, and while I"m not a big fan of meat, I feel good, and I am not losing weight that I can't afford to lose, as I did on the intro GAPS and SCD diets (which didn't really do anything for me anyway). I guess paleo is pretty similar to SCD, but there are some distinct differences. Paleo allows sweet potatoes, SCD doesn't. SCD allows nuts and beans and dairy, paleo advises against them, except for fresh local raw dairy products if you can get them.

Canasa made things worse. Hydrocortisone made no difference.
Tried SCD ... 6 mos in 2010. GAPS diet 4 mos in 2011. Not sure if these helped.
Remission for 16 mos gluten-free, mostly grain-free, semi-paleo, alternative healing routes.
