Ha - okay, so I'm being very serious with this question, but I do realize it's a bit gross. Thing is, my butt really starts to sweat when I have to poop and I'm in a flare. confused When I'm in remission, this doesn't happen. And yes, I'm very sure it's just sweat and not some kind of leakage. My butt cheeks get really clammy to the point where moisture even shows up on my underwear - similar to the wet marks under the arms when folks have been working out. Medicine isn't a factor I don't think. This has gone on as long as I can remember and with all diff sorts of meds.

Does anyone else get this???

Weird huh, ive had for 25 years.
started around 26 years old. Mostly when urge to defacate or urinate.
I have IBS. Just had spinal fusion surgery lower back.
Sweat area is just above crack to about halfway
down both butt cheecks. Back surgery made it even worse.
Sweat amount is incredible at times.
Want to find a doctor familiar with this issue.
Seems to be a very rare condition.
It really sucks.

RH - interesting idea. I doubt I'd try it myself though - especially during a flare...just too much going on down there. Tried baby powder - the cornstarch, not talc, kind. Helps to an extent.

This is too funny. I can so completely relate. I've never seen a post about it. It is sooo good to know I'm not the only one. It gets so annoying. I see no one has really had solution for this. I think powder would be too messy.
