I've been using the Renew life
clear organic acacia fibre for a few weeks now. I have to conclude that it has led to a moderate to good improvement in my symptoms. I was doing 5-6 bms every morning and have reduced to 3-4 despite tapering down from 30mg to 15mg of prednisone. I have stopped with all other soluble fibres like metamucil
Am I correct in doing this, as I figure that acacia does the same job if not better, right?
I also take mine the middle of the afternoon one heaped teaspoon blended into a milk-shake.
The milk-shake consists of one scoop of butterscotch ripple icecream, milk, pomegranate juice, blueberry probiotic yoghurt and sometimes half a banana. Tastes quite yummy but i'm sure I've raised a few disapproving eyebrows!
Should I stop using slippery elm powder as well? Tbh, I haven't used it for about 4 days now and not noticed any change.
