According to studies VSL has put many into remission although I have never personally ever heard of even one.
Allegedly VSL at the therapeutic dose (8 packs per day for active disease I think?) works as well as oral 5ASAs in patients who are intolerant or refractory to 5ASAs. Some have posted here that upping their VSL dose nipped an oncoming flare in the bud. But I'll agree the anecdotal results have never seemed as strong as what comes out of the studies.
