Ya know if I go into a clinic here or see a doctor and tell them I have UC and a I'm having a ton of D they just say... see your GI and they want to deal with me. It's so frustrating.
I ordered from Geneva company the comprehensive stool analysis, that will be about $300 when I turn it back out but they send out the kit for free. I need to know what the heck is going on. It's been months like this. I was having ribbon like stool (in november) when I was on no meds at all but felt so inflammed and had blood so I knewI needed some type of medication. I started humira and that didn't work, so now I'm back on colazal. I'd take ribbon stool over my water diarreah any day. I'm so concerned because I'm losing weight. I keep wondering, do I have a bacteria or something? I do get nausous and I'm hungry so I eat. But generally the processing of my food in my gut just turns to liquid nothing solid.
I will try immodium, I've just kind of letting my body purge, but it's been too long. Pysllium makes me bleed more so I don't take that.
I feel like going into a clinic and telling them nothing about my gut issues. Would that be wrong? What could they test for? I guess C-Diff, last one came back negative. Can they look for more stuff in my stool? Thank god for Vitalyte I think that's the only that has kept me out of the hospital.
UC since '05 and DX with chronic Lyme's in 2010, (get tested by Igenix Lab) You have to be your own advocate in your health. 5-ASA no remission. Humira and Imuran didn't work.
