Sorry about your recent diagnosis.
Sounds to me like you might have a mesalamine intolerance.
Speak to your doc about it, and get other meds.
For some of us, the meds work great, for me they didn't work, and I didn't want to go to the biologics or surgery.
But I found that with a combo of certain supplements, diet modification I was able to reduce all symptoms in a major way, and then LDN, low dose naltrexone put me in remission.
If you are interested in any of these steps, there are things IMO that you can control, which will have a direct impact on
your disease, the symptoms you experience and their severity.
