I agree with the other posters--don't beat yourself up! But, you may want to find a regimen that works better for you. When I was in remission, which was several years, I took my meds twice a day instead of the prescribed three times. This was ok with my doctor, and it was the only way I seemed to be able to get them all in. I would OFTEN forget the middle of the day dose as I am a teacher and would be "too busy." So, I did a dose of 4 pills and a dose of 5 pills. Once I started having symptoms I went back to three times a day. I've been on generic colazal for the entire time I've been diagnosed, so I can't speak for lialda or any other meds but the cost has been reasonable for colazal on my insurance, whereas lialda wasn't.
I can't agree more w/ Quincy--the enemas are a pain in the butt literally and figuratively but they work really really well for a lot of people, and you just do it at bedtime. I wish I had tried them sooner.
Good luck and really, don't beat yourself up! We're all human!
