I have loved the weather, and stroms since I was a kid. I saw my first tornado in fourth grade in Wisconsin.
I have a degree in meteorology, but I am currently out of the field. We have a saturation of meteorologists in town, since two schools offer the degree, but my son is almost done with HS so I could move relatively soon.
I used to storm chase. I do not anymore, since hail damage is pretty unavoidable and I have 'real cars' now.
Tornadoes are awesome. I've seen many, mostly small ones in fields. We get more rain wrapped tornadoes around here, so I've also seen lots of damage from tornadoes I never saw.
Two weeks ago an F-3 hit less than two miles from my house in a very populated area. I didn't enjoy that so much. We did not have hail at the house, but we did have very strong inflow winds howling from the north, which was odd / awesome.
