Natural Probiotic Formula (Probiotic-3) by Advanced Series, has 3 strains in it: Streptococcus faecalis, Clostridium butyricum and Basillus mesentercus. This probiotic produce butyric acid in the gut. I had to stop it. It gave me a lot of gas, cramps. Maybe the die off effect. I will re-try it later.
These strains are of a lot interest to me. I am starting Butyrate soon (hopefully from tomorrow) and if these bacteria produce butyrate then they should give me added bonus (in theory). Have you tried butyrate otherwise? I am trying to figure out if it was butyrate or any other actions of these bacteria that caused you so much.
Gas is honestly not much of an issue with me because I keep tooting as it is (I have accepted it as part and parcel of my life), so little more honking won't be that much an issue.
Somewhere else, you mentioned VSL#3 does not survive in the system. Actually, the thing is, if they stick around and the conditions are favorable, they will thrive. Because all these strains grow perfectly at 37C (body temperature), except yeast, I think, that is best at 36C. I am not too sure where you learned this from but if you know for sure, I would like read the source. (Not for argument purpose, I am spending a ton of money for that so better to know if I am just flushing down the toilet.)
With Mutaflor, which company managed to sneak it across the border for you? I want that too. Southern border patrol agents are looking for weed and the northern patrol agents are looking for Mutaflor. Seriously, WT F is wrong with FDA?
Thanks for all your input, really appreciate it.
