I have been given an emergency infusion of Remicade on the 4th, so, almost 2 weeks. I have been doing well, but yesterday and today idk why, but I have been feeling so down. The insurance I have doesn't cover Remicade, and I can't get any information. I have applied for the Remicade program, but no answer yet, and I am supposed to get another infusion on Friday, which does not look like it will happen unless my doctor works a miracle. I am supposed to see him this afternoon, and I am praying so hard he has some good news for me. I can't get insurance until the new healthcare act kicks in and I sooo do not want to go to the hospital again and wait a week to get Remicade as another emergency. Does anyone know how long it takes for Remicade to, sort of...wear off? I am just praying there is another answer, something else my doctor can give to me if it so happens that I can't get Remicade.
And the worst part is that the lady who works with my doctor, a partner he has in his practice, came up to me a few days before I left the hospital and said "You know, this is your fault that you are here, you did this to yourself"... I was sooo sad and so discouraged already. And I feel like by the stories I have been reading my flare was pretty bad and I feel like my doctor are not the best at informing me. And unfortunately, I pay them on the side, so, anything that they do recommend (such as Remicade), will not be covered by the state bc I pay them separately, so...if it is not coming from a doctor from the state, the order mean nothing and I don't get any medicine at all. I just got legal status in this country, that is why I am going thru all this trouble, bc I only have Health Safety Net, so, anything has to go thru the state and a primary care.
I just feel so bummed out...
Well...just venting...but I have faith that everything will work for the best.
