One of the food additives (I thought it was mannose) promotes adhesion in a big way. Maybe it was something else though. I'd have to verify it by looking it up. Started with an M though and was always added to wheat and corn products and such.
That's quite the paper.
Late last night I hit the grocery store for some organic cranberry juice (not from concentrate) which they actually had. Will add that to the WOO/Thyme etc and see what happens this week.
Anyway - here is an example on Bacteriodes and Mucus and how some types (Commensals) are better suited to evade our immune system just like proposed in the 10,00 biopsy paper. Then add to it the frucose capsule stuff, and mucus eating properties etc etc etc. www.pnas.org/content/101/41/14919.full.pdf+html
There seems to be a lot of different pathogenic bacteria/viruses that all do essentially the same.
Overall what I have found lately is the our system (colons) have shifted (via chemicals, food additives, pollution, antibiotics etc) to favor pathogenic bacteria. So back to the mucus mucus weakening and breakdown, then on-set of various diseases. And it seems fixing or reversing this is a brutally difficult process.
I guess time will tell eventually.. if we have a virus problem, bacteria problem or immune problem, but I'm sticking to this bacterial thing. There's just to much evidence on it now.
