Solomon, I don't know if this is similar, but when I was flaring the warm water of the shower always seemed to relax me and make me feel like I had to go. I've always used a technique of thinking "what's the worst thing that could happen" about
my worries. To me, the worst thing was that I could have an accident in the shower. Then what would happen? The stool would be washed down the drain just as it is in the toilet. Then I could just pour some bleach on the shower floor to disinfect it and go on. Not so bad.
BTW, this never happened to me. As someone else said, I'd just step out of the shower and go use the toilet when I really needed to.
Hope something here helps you.
