I stumbled on this article the other day and it just inspired some thoughts. OM has a post on here about
oral bacteria. Anyway before reading this I never gave much thought to the aspect of oral bacteria breaking down carbs/gluten - I always associated this with our "self" enzymes.
Though geared towards Celiac I can't help but think about
the same type aspect in Crohns or UC... Worth a read and some consideration for those interested:
