There is still hope. It took me like 10 months or more to be feeling decent on Remi. I still remember my first real date with my fiancee which was nine months after I began Remicade. I told her I did not want to go out to eat because I thought it may bother how I was feeling (I was worried about
urgency after eating). So... sometimes it takes a while!
After my initial dose the only thing I noticed was less blood. Everything else was still a struggle.
After 2-3 months the GI doc did a scope and said things looked pretty good though, so I don't know how much was from what exactly.
The infusion nurse told me when I began infusions that sometimes it takes 6 months or more before a person really is healed... depending on how bad they were.
Having been through what you're going through I would definitely say to still have plenty of hope and faith.
