Pb4- yes, I've started a food/poopin diary, lol, trying to how much is going in and how much coming out. Fruits have always been problematic for me so I always just do a little at a time and stick to the lower fructose ones
Quincy, yes I did think that maybe it was the elavil starting to slow things down. I've definitely noticed less spasming, I wasn't sure if it would be too early for the elavil to start working though. It's only been a little over a week. Either way, I'm happy and hopeful. I've upped my fluids (I only drink water and herbal tea) but I've stopped the rectal meds. Now, I know they heal like nothing else! I'm a true believer, but since I am not officially diagnosed...and still hopeful this was some sort of crazy infection that masked as UC, I need to be off meds. My GI is doing another scope in feb, and if no firm diagnosis of UC I will ween off the asacol and be med free completely....terrifying....then we wait and see if it returns...how medically advanced....and either way he will do another scope to check again.
Rbartolo, hee hee yes, not pooping for a day is glorious, except I'm always too paranoid to enjoy it....like constantly looking over my shoulder waiting for the boogie man to strike at any moment, lol. Hang in there, things will get better.
