I started taking probiotic capsules the other day and today when I went to the bathroom there was a capsule in the toilet, it was broken open and had turned red from blood that had gotten in it but it was basically in tact.. strange right? Im worried about what it means for my digestive tract, if my stomach cant even break down a gel cap

Guess you didn't have to worry about your stomach acid killing it. Seriously though, that is kind of weird. It should have probably dissolved in your stomach before even getting to the digestive tract. Do they claim it is enteric coated? I know some probiotics make this claim but I have never actually seen a probiotic yet with this claim that actually looked like the coating was enteric.

I guess it means its travelling too fast, just like food not breaking down. When I was crapping all day a lot of things came out looking just like they did going in.

They dont say entric coating, if it did that would make sense though. Theyre just basic gel caps, the kind that start to dissolve in water :/
