I'm sorry Steph. Remember, you're in control of your colon. Doctors are there to only advise you of removing your colon and if you believe you can deal with the pain whilst it's in the process of healing, the decline the surgery and/or sign yourself out. It will be a b*tch, trust me. I'm doing an all natural route and I just want to rip my own guts out sometimes even though I'm in a "remission".
At one point in my life with UC (2.5 years and some change now), I have been admitted at least 4 times and it got to the point, I was excited to go since it's like my form of a "vacation". Odd, right? It's like free food being brought to you 3x a day, sometimes free TV, etc .. even though we all know our insurances have to pay for it.
Kathie, 22 year old female diagnosed with UC 08/2011.
open-minded and will try anything once. Occasional pescetarian,
mainly vegan. 30-45 drops of yellow dock extract, wheatgrass 4oz daily,
spiruliana tablet 2x daily, ensure complete every morning, lots of
distilled water. Achieved remission purely holistically and spiritually.
