Hey CoastalChris -
Did the poop pills also ease any joint, muscle or tendon issues you had or have had in the past?
I was pretty much symptom-free prior to taking the pills. I'm hardcore raw vegan (mostly fruit) and that vanished all my complaints like arthritis, bruising, muscle aches etc. It's only when I deviate and eat anything other than raw (even the tiniest amount) that the symptoms return overnight, ie bowel flare-ups, migraines etc, etc. It's very frustrating.
The reason why I made the pills is because I just can't seem to absorb enough nutrients on the raw diet. I eat a huge amount of fruit (like 3000 calories a day) but my gut must be stalling full absorption. I am unbelievably happy with the diet because I've never felt better. But I know I'm still not fully digesting the food simply by looking at the stool.
I really want to do the pills again but this time I'm going to adhere to the high-fibre post-pill regime instead of going on a bender and eating rubbish.
Something is working though because there is no way I would have been able to tolerate the stuff I've eaten over the last five days prior to eating the pills. I still think longterm success requires recolonisation of the gut with healthy bacteria and adherence to a high-fibre, whole food diet that speeds transit time.
One of my favourite videos on Youtube is of a selection of colonoscopies done by Dr Hiromi Shinya. I just love seeing how healthy the bowel can look after a high-fibre diet./www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwAGgWbVAkY
It makes you never want to eat bad food again.
