Well, apparently (after calling a number of pharmacies) there is No liquid mag citrate available for purchase here in Australia. There is only tablets.
Each tablet has Magnesium 150 mg (Magnesium citrate 927.64 mg). No added gluten, lactose, egg, yeast, preservatives, artificial colours and artificial flavours.
Sooo, i was thinking maybe i can make my own mag citrate for the colon prep, based on the concentration in CVS Mag Citrate dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/lookup.cfm?setid=cfef38bd-5818-4b91-8b07-a385333b5883
, I will need to use 2 tablets for each fl Oz. And I will need to drink 30 (thirty) fl Oz for the prep cleanout (according to many website including this one www.uclahealth.org/workfiles/smbp/colonoscopy-english.pdf
So that means I need to dissolve 60 tablets in 30 Oz of water, and that's it. Right? Oh and I think i'll need to add a bit of sodium in the form of salt just to keep electrolytes ok.
Or will i be poisoning myself? that sounds like an aweful lot of magnesium!
