Nope, Old Hat, Sherry recently switched to Apriso. I think it was because she was having some minor problems still, so her GI suggested she switch from Colazal to Apriso.
If the sfRowasa give me the same symptoms as the regular ones do, therefore indicating I've developed a sensitivity to mesalamine, I'll ask my GI about
Colazal. I'd rather give it a shot than switching to 6MP or Imuran.
ETA that I used another hydrocort enema last night and poop was near (my) "perfect" this morning. Just called the GI and left a message with the receptionist requesting the sfRowasa.
Another ETA that my GI Rx'ed the sfRowasa, no problems. My pharmacy doesn't have it in stock, but said it should be here by Monday.
Symptomatic remission as of 5/2009, mild flare 5/2014
Colonoscopy in 10/2011 showed no inflammation
Symptoms began in 11/2008, 4 weeks after birth of first child; diagnosed with pancolitis 1/2009.
Second child born 3/2013; no post-partum flare up.
Meds: Apriso (Four 0.375 g pills once daily), Mesalamine enema twice weekly, multivitamin, vitamin D, probiotic.
