It means in order to absorb more iron from iron rich meals such as red meat, don't eat dairy
at the same time, and also eat something with vitamin C while eating the meal,will increase absorption.
If you do eat dairy with the meal also eat something with vitamin C.
I can see possibly that years and years from when you were a kid,eating iron fortified cereal with milk
might cause a problem,dumping all that extra iron into the gut and not being absorbed. Also, cheese burgers,pizza,grilled cheese on iron fortified bread,ect.
As a bonus orange juice will help prevent endotoxin translocation.
