Check the manufacturer of each. Generics are supposed to be the same but there are differences between manufacturers. For example, for my generic Wellbutrin, the pills manufactured by Mylan work best. All the others give me major reflux. This is not in my head - my psychiatrist says she's had several patients complain about it.
Before I get my prescription filled, or before I pay for it, I make sure it's from the right manufacturer. Some pharmacies stick with one "brand" but others change frequently depending on pricing. You can call around to different pharmacies to request the manufacturer you want.
Thanks for this info. How do you usually figure out which manufacturer works best? Trial and error?
Do you think name-brand is worth trying?
